The UCL Summer School

The UCL Summer School offers an intensive three or six-week program for international students, providing undergraduate credit-bearing modules taught by world-leading academics. Based in central London, it combines rigorous, research-led teaching with a vibrant social calendar, allowing students to explore the city. 

Programme Dates

Session 1: Starts in June, duration 3 weeks

Session 2: Starts in late July, duration 3 weeks

Eligibility Requirements

The program is open to full-time undergraduate students in their second year or above with a minimum GPA of 3.3. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following: 

Standard Requirement—IELTS 7.0+ (no band below 6.5), TOEFL 100+ (min. 24 in Reading/Writing, 20 in Listening/Speaking), or Duolingo 125+ (min. 115 each); 

Computer Science/Science & Mathematics modules—IELTS 6.5+, TOEFL 92+, or Duolingo 115+; 

Academic English module—IELTS 6.0+, TOEFL 79+, or Duolingo 100+. 

Students without a formal test score may take an internal English assessment administered by the program.
